Scientific Excellence Award

Who can submit?

Students, Ph.D./doctoral candidates, and PostDocs affiliated with an European university.

What we look for?

We are seeking research projects in the space of digital health and life science. We look for projects related to the patients’ future in a digitalized healthcare system, contributing to the motto of FXH 2019 ‘The digital (r)evolution – a new era for patients’.

If you are working on

digitally improving efficient research for new medicines or diagnostics
digitally enabled diagnostics and therapies
questions and challenges that arise from digitalization of health-related data
what the digital future of the healthcare system will look like

we look forward to your contribution!

Your project should have been evolved past an initial idea, but can still be in the pre-publication phase. Of course, you are also welcome to submit a project that has already been completed (less than two years ago).

Be invited to our pre-event BarCamp and the main FXH program for an open exchange of ideas with digital health experts from Roche and other peers from the scientific community.

When & Where?

13th November 2019 (the day before the main FXH program)

Science Congress Center Munich –
Walther-von-Dyck-Str. 10, 85748 Garching
(Munich)

Followed by an invitation to a joint dinner
for all BarCamp participants.

Why?

Roche wants to offer an open platform to exchange ideas about the digital future of our healthcare system. A BarCamp is a unique platform for discussing challenges and finding solutions together. With this exciting day event, we want to foster collaboration and build the basis for a long-term connection with our academic peers.

How?

The fundamental idea of the BarCamp is that there are too many fascinating things out there to tackle them with one pre-made rigid agenda. So instead, we want to use a highly interactive and spontaneous format which embraces flexibility in the agenda and personal interests of the participants. By doing so, we want to experience a conference full of engagement and interaction.

What happend at FXH 2017?

Young, wild and science-driven:
Roche BarCamp 2017

More than 40 participants, no pre-defined agenda, 22 topic sessions, a day full of inspiration and countless new ideas: this was the BarCamp of the Future X Healthcare 2017. Take your chance to get invited to the BarCamp of the FXH 2019, it’s worth it!
